Going Gone

In Going Gone, Book 2 of the dystopian series, The Irish End Games, tragedy strikes the three Americans where they live in Ireland. Sarah Woodson is brutally taken across the Irish Sea to the pastoral beauty of England’s Cotswold’s and discovers the horrors of a post-apocalyptic sex slave trade.

Determined to escape her captors—including a monster who’s vowed never to let her leave England alive—and to survive the impossible journey of a thousand miles through the harsh Welsh wilderness, Sarah uses every resource she has to find her way home again. Going Gone is an adventure tale of heart-stopping proportion showing the resiliency of the human spirit and the unfathomable depths of a mother’s love.

Here’s what readers have to say about Book 2 in the series:

ANOTHER PAGE-TURNER! In GOING GONE, IRISH END GAMES BOOK 2 the Woodsons are still in Ireland. And things have gone from bad to worse – in a big way. As tragedy strikes at the core of the small family, they must learn to be more vigilant, and more determined than ever if they are to survive this odd new world they’ve been thrust into with no apparent hope of leaving anytime soon. And as they rise to new heights of strength, courage & determination, we find them becoming more attached to their newfound IRISH family & friends as never before. As well as a few others who wander in & out of their lives at just the right time.

Author Kiernan-Lewis has crafted a plausible scenario rife with enigmatic, three-dimensional characters who tug at your heartstrings and pull you into their lives as if it could be very own.

JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER & BETTER! I want this series to never end. It just keeps getting better and better. You are drawn into the lives of the characters and are on pins and needles waiting for them to extradite themselves from the dire situation they seem to fall into frequently. But then if they led a mundane life such as this reader does the story would be quite boring, wouldn’t it? It is unusual for an apocalyptic novel to be so realistic. No zombies or vampires or weird people with strange powers. Oh, there are weird people but the same as we read about in the local newspaper, a little off but with no magic powers which I don’t like in my hard science fiction. So read it!

5 STARS. This is #2 in this series and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Sarah is brutally kidnapped and the book centers on her returning to Ireland. The book is a bit violent in parts but again I couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait for #3.–Goodreads Reviewer

EXPLOSIVE SEQUEL! It’s all about surviving to escape the awful nightmares of a bitter world to find hope and love in a destroyed civilization. A nonstop read to the end, be ready to jump into book three.–Goodreads Reviewer.
