I have a special love affair with Aix-en-Provence. I’m sure it had its germ in the Peter Mayle books but my subsequent visits have cemented the relationship. Because both of my major series–The Maggie Newberry Mysteries and my Stranded in Provence mystery series–take place in Provence I love using Aix as my base of operations for inspiration and general “feel.” I’m determined to do a six-month visit one of these times but meanwhile I’m nailing down all the seasons month by month and I hope you join me along the way!
