Summer 2018

From the farmers markets, the ubiquitous cafés, the wall-to-wall shopping and festival atmosphere–it must be Aix in the summertime! This time my husband and I are in Aix for a month in order to soak up all-things-Aix and get some work done while we’re at it. I’m in the middle of writing a four-book arc for my light-hearted dystopian mystery series Stranded in Provence as well as researching Books 13 and 14 of the Maggie Newberry Mysteries which I’ll write in the fall and publish soon after.

The Maggie books will take me through long day trips to Arles and Marseille while my visits to St-Cannat (the prototype of the village of Chabanel)

and the environs of Aix-en-Provence will fill me up on everything I need to write about the South of France during the apocalypse.

One quaint little café street after another!

I hope you follow me on Instagram for the day-by-day snaps that made up my month in Aix and that you also enjoy the two mystery series that bring me here each year (for research purposes) and the photos on this page that in part chronicle my summer in what i consider my favorite place on earth.

Basically how I spent 80% of my day in Aix!
