The Mia Kazmaroff Mysteries

I’ve been wanting to create a  detective team like this ever since I first watched the show “Moonlighting.” The Mia Kazmaroff Mystery Series brings you heaps of sexual tension, a mind-boggling puzzle, a little paranormal gift thrown in, and the beautiful city of Atlanta in all its southern charm and mystique.

RECKLESS is the first book in the series and it will introduce you to Mia Kazmaroff and Jack Burton. Theirs is an extremely unlikely partnership in a private investigation agency that specializes in lost-causes and cold-cases.

Book Two is SHAMELESS and introduces Mia and Jack to the seedy world of human trafficking inside Atlanta–and in the nicest of middle-class subdivisions.

BREATHLESS, Book Three, will take your breath away with a shocking revelation from Jack that will rock Mia’s world–and not in a good way–when the daughter he never knew he had is brutally kidnapped.

HEARTLESS Book Four, takes you into the insidious world of online dating where things can go very wrong and very deadly.

CLUELESS Book Five in the series takes you–and Mia and Jack–to a very scary place indeed…

RUTHLESS Book Six finishes out the series with a resounding bang!

  1. Hi, Deborah, sorry for the confusion. I’ve been in love with the name Nuala for many years and so I used it as the name of the heroine of this series when I began it this year, starting with “Reckless.” Unfortunately, I appear to be alone in my affection for the name–at least with American readers, most of whom had never heard of it and couldn’t pronounce it. My editor finally won the argument in a hard-fought battle to change the name from “Nuala” to something anyone could pronounce and so, recently–as of a week ago!–I changed it. Again, so sorry for the confusion but I needed to make the change now, rather than later when the series became more entrenched. I hope you’re enjoying the series and can adjust to the switch without too much annoyance. And again, so sorry for the confusion!

    • I have enjoyed the first four Mia Kazmaroff books immensely! I can’t wait for the next one. I couldn’t access your website from my kobo so came here on my computer. Imagine my surprise when I read this page and then started the comments and the first comment is you saying you love the name Nuala! Now you can say you know one…sort of. Keep the books coming. Cheers, Nuala

      • My first real Nuala!! 🙂 Yes, I love your name and am so glad you like the Mia books. I’m currently writing the 5th one, “Clueless,” so hope you stay with me for a bit longer. Thanks for writing, Nuala! (See, I love writing it too!)

  2. I started reading the Maggie Newberry series and have become addicted!! I am on book 5 and love them all. A thought struck me this morning, not a single swear-word, no bad language and gratuitous violence anywhere, well done!! I have just bought the four Mia Kazmaroff Mysteries and I am really looking forward to starting these. Will you be writing any other books in the Maggie series?

  4. Just finished reading the 4th Mia Kazmaroff Mysteries book and I loved them all. Can’t wait for the next one. What’s in a name? The only thing that confused me was when one of the books had some guy trying to pronounce Nuala and she said her name was Mia and that people were always mis-pronouncing her name. Since she is of a different nationality (Kazmaroff) maybe Russian I just thought it had something to do with that. Keep up the good work.

    • Hi, Barbara–did you read the book on iBooks? Mia used to be named Nuala a year ago (but my editor and various readers really hated the name so i changed it.) I’d love to know where you got the book so I can jump in and make sure it’s properly updated!

  5. Susan, I’m so happy to see the next book is out! I’ve already gone and bought it from Kobo! Guess what I’ll be reading this weekend? Keep writing them please. I hope you and yours have a terrific Christmas and all the best for a wonderful new year.

  6. I just got done binge reading the whole Mia Kazmaroff series and absolutely loved it. Are you going to be writing anymore in this series. • Thanks, Tessa! Glad you liked Mia. 🙂 I will add to that series but probably not until later in the year. Glad you’re “on board!” And thanks for writing.

  7. I am dying for the next book in The Irish Endgames. I read that it was expected to be released in September 2017. Any news?? I keep checking. This may be my fave series ever! … and I read more than anyone I know. 😉

    • Hi, Kimmy–so glad you’re enjoying the series! The pre-order is scheduled for December of this year but it will be probably be mid October instead. Glad you’re onboard!
